Walking on Broadway in Queens

There are quite a few Broadway within the New York City area (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens). Broadway in Queens begins at Vernon Boulevard and merges with Queens Boulevard crossing quite a few neighborhood. This afternoon, I took a walk on Broadway and explore some of the neighborhoods from Northern Boulevard to 73rd Street.

Though generally I use the New York City Subway system to commute between Manhattan and Queens, I remember walking on this route way back in 2008 or 2009 once. Yes, it was a long walk and I enjoyed it. However, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to take a long walk on this route during winter season. It’s a wide open road and for the most of the part it’s always windy. Spring or Summer time walk would be much more enjoyable but don’t forget to take the temperature of that day in your serious consideration before you actually go out.

There’s a subway station at the junction of Northern Boulevard and Broadway, you will find another station at 65th street and lastly at 74th and Roosevelt Avenue. So, if you don’t feel comfortable taking a walk, you can always use the subway system to reach your destination.

If you watch the entire video, you will notice at some point towards the end I had to remove the sound as I reach my destination. When I first uploaded the video, there was a copyright strike and I had to re-upload the video to avoid copyright claim. Apart form that, I had a pretty good walk. Looking forward to upload more videos on upcoming days. Enjoy.
