Colby is a professional working in the field of information technology who has a passion for giving back to his community through volunteering. Throughout the years, he has offered his time and services to various organizations including the Special Olympics, Working Wardrobes, and Habitat for Humanity. Colby's interest in dogs began when he rescued his first puppy, Linus, from the Carson Animal Shelter in 2005. Colby attended a local Pet Expo where he inquired about volunteer opportunities with rescue organizations, therapy dog schools, and guide dog schools. Although raising a guide dog puppy was intriguing to him, he realized that a two-year commitment would be too much to handle at the time. As a result, Colby opted for short-term assignments such as fostering dogs and puppies to test his dedication. From 2007, Colby began to learn all he could about training dogs, specifically service dogs and has since raised and trained 16 guide and service dog puppies in training.
