Brian is a yoga enthusiast who stumbled upon the practice in a surprising way during the turn of the century. At the time, he was an avid sports player who struggled with flexibility due to years of neglect and genetics. However, after practicing yoga with his mom through a Rodney Yee video, he became intrigued and invested in the practice.

He began practicing yoga on his own, collecting yoga books and materials to expand his knowledge. In 2007, during his last year of law school, Brian started Daily Cup of Yoga, an online platform to document his discovery of the yogic arts. To his surprise, the platform grew in popularity and gained recognition in the blogosphere, earning a spot in top blog listings and featuring on lists of bloggers making a difference in fitness, health, and happiness.
