Amy Thelen is a professional photographer with a passion for capturing authentic and genuine emotions in her work. She has been working in the industry since 2015, although her photography journey dates back 20 years to when she first used a friend's Nikon FM3A film camera while traveling in England and Ireland.

Amy has a master's degree in education and has extensive experience working with children and families of various configurations. Her natural empathy, intuition, and communication skills allow her to help even the wariest of individuals feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera.

Amy is a proud parent of two children and is married to an equally amazing spouse. If she could, she would pursue her dream of becoming a professional traveler, as her family makes a point of visiting different countries and cultures every year to immerse themselves in new experiences, food, architecture, and quality time together.

In her free time, Amy enjoys baking sourdough, brewing kombucha, and drinking locally roasted coffee. She is grateful for the simple and delightful things life has to offer and appreciates the city she calls home, Portland, Oregon.
