Kath lives in Charlottesville, Virginia with her husband, Thomas, two sons, Mazen and Birch, and a dog named Gus. She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who divides her time between writing for her blog, "Kath Eats Real Food" (KERF), and caring for her family.
Kath founded her blog on the belief that the solution to many nutrition and diet questions is to eat food in its simplest form, as nature intended. Rather than focusing on what should not be consumed, she emphasizes the importance of consuming a diverse and colorful array of superfoods rich in nutrients, as this is what the body needs and wants.
In addition, Kath also helps busy people by offering a simple system to organize their digital clutter, which takes less than an hour per week and allows them to spend more time doing what they love.
Kath's passion for real food and wellness led her to pursue a career as a Registered Dietitian, which she accomplished after completing coursework and a dietetic internship at Winthrop University and passing the RD exam.
Kath's work has received recognition and praise from the industry. In 2009, she was voted "Best Food Blog" by Foodbuzz and two years later, she was honored with the title of "Best Healthy Living Blog". She has even graced the cover of Women's World magazine.
