Lisa Illman is the founder and president of Kritter Kommunity. Her passion for pets, particularly her cats Madison and Abigail, inspired her to create this site in 2009. Lisa's original vision was to create a fanciful screened-in catio for her cats, but city building restrictions limited her plans. She then decided to design a safe and effective outdoor cat enclosure, which eventually became the prototype for Kritter Kondo. Her neighbors and passers-by were impressed with the product, leading Lisa to start manufacturing Kritter Kondos for pet owners in need of an alternative outdoor solution.
Lisa's business acumen is backed by her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Pennsylvania State University and over 15 years of sales and marketing experience. Lisa's motivation stems from her passion for helping pets and their owners live their best lives. She believes that all pets deserve time exploring the sunny outdoors but need to be safely contained to avoid harm from disease, other animals, and motorists. She an effective solution for cats and small dogs to enjoy the outdoors with their family in a safe and secure way.
Lisa's success has not gone unnoticed, and her product has taken the pet world by storm. She continues to improve and expand her product line, ensuring that all pets and their owners have access to a safe outdoor experience.
