Nicole is a resident of Boston, living with her husband Joe and dog Pickles. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010, and originally hails from Martha’s Vineyard. Nicole began her website, Pumps & Iron, in 2012 as a fitness and wellness blog, which has since grown into a comprehensive resource for workouts, recipes, and health tips. She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and has been teaching group fitness in Boston since 2014. Nicole is also certified in Lagree Fitness, Spinning, and Indo-Row, and is currently pursuing a STOTT Pilates certification.
Nicole shares a free workout on her website and YouTube channel every Monday, organized by workout structure, equipment needed, target muscle group, and more. In addition to her fitness training, Nicole is also a Certified Holistic Aromatherapist, sharing DIY blend recipes and educating readers on the benefits of essential oils and their proper usage, while being realistic and transparent about their limitations.
