Amy is a dedicated wife and mother of three who has made it her mission to empower women and help them heal their relationships with their bodies. Her wellness journey began in 2015 when she started sharing her experiences on Instagram, initially without any intention of starting a blog. To her surprise, she discovered a vast number of women who shared similar feelings of shame, frustration, and guilt about their bodies. Recognizing the need for a mental shift, Amy embarked on her own healing journey, determined to show others the path to self-love.
For decades, Amy had harbored a deep-rooted hatred for her body, constantly striving to change it through dieting. However, in 2018, she came to the realization that dieting only perpetuated her dissatisfaction and disapproval of her own body. This pivotal moment led her to leave behind the constraints of diet culture and embark on a transformative journey of embracing and loving her body as it is, in every season.
Amy's mission is to guide other women in making the same shift from self-hatred to self-love and care. She firmly believes in caring for one's body as a means of gratitude for all it has given, rather than solely for its appearance. Through her platform, ""Learning to Love Your Body Well,"" Amy aims to provide support, love, and guidance for women to honor and nurture their bodies while living a healthy lifestyle, free from guilt and shame.
Her greatest motivation is her family, particularly her children. Amy is determined to break the cycle of guilt and shame surrounding body image and instill in her children a deep sense of love and care for their own bodies. She wholeheartedly hopes to inspire others to do the same.
Amy wants every individual to understand that it is never too late to embark on a healing journey and make peace with the past. She firmly believes in the possibility of healing and wants every woman to know that they are deserving of love and acceptance, regardless of their past experiences or struggles.
